Winter is almost over and last week was March break!!  I always feel better when we get past February,The weather couldn’t be better. To quote a friend “It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood!

Things are very busy around the Holliday house with grandchildren to play with. The fact that they get more excited to see “ Grampa” than me is not great, but I see it as a challenge.

For those of you who don’t already know, we have a new Grand Daughter named Charlotte Mary, born January 28^th.  She is, of course, adorable and also a really good baby. That makes 3 in less than 2 years. I am Blessed.

With Easter and Mother’s Day being celebrated during this term it limits how many weekends I have to schedule classes. Usually during Spring term, I try to have some technique classes instead of projects, so that those of you who prefer Gardening to Quilting, won’t mind taking a bit of time to learn something new.

Have a think about “Big Stitch” quilting as it has a different “Look” and can give you a new element to add to your quilt tops. I will make you a full kit with needles, thread, stencil etc. so there is no prep work for you.

Some of you are interested in learning new ways to use your sewing machine and this “Applipiecing” technique class will give you a whole new way to look at curves. It can be used for Applique or piecing and allows you more creativity in your work.

For any of you that want a new project I have the perfect Scrap Quilt for you to make.  “Hanging Garden” is easy and fast to make. Depending on the scraps you use it can have many different personalities.
